Accounting services that begin where the filing ends

The formation is one afternoon. Everything on this page is the part that decides whether the company is still in good standing, still profitable and still worth owning three years from now.

Eight services, taken separately or together.

Each one is priced on its own. There is no package that quietly includes four things you did not ask for.

Why we do not sell a bundle.

Quoted on
Transaction volume, headcount, jurisdictions
Reviewed
Annually, or whenever the business changes shape

Subscription bundles exist because they are profitable, not because they fit. A business with two employees and forty transactions a month does not need the same service as one with fifteen employees selling into six states, and charging both of them the same tier means one is overpaying and the other is underserved.

We quote each service against your actual volume: how many transactions, how many bank accounts, how many employees, how many jurisdictions. The quote changes when the business changes, in both directions, and we tell you when something you are paying for is no longer worth it.

How we scope and price a service.

Bookkeeping priced on
Transactions, accounts, inventory, currencies
Payroll priced on
Headcount and jurisdictions
Quote holds
Twelve months, revisited both ways

Every quote starts with volume rather than with a tier. For bookkeeping that means transaction count, how many bank and card accounts feed in, whether you hold inventory, whether you invoice on terms, and how many currencies are involved. For payroll it is headcount and how many states or those people sit in. For tax it is entity type, how many states and whether we kept the books.

We ask for a sample rather than an estimate wherever possible, usually one recent month of bank activity, because owners consistently underestimate their own transaction volume by a wide margin and a quote built on a guess has to be revised, which is worse for everyone than asking one more question at the start.

The quote then holds for twelve months. If the business changes shape inside that period we revisit it, in both directions. We have reduced fees more than once because a client's volume fell and nobody had told them they were still paying for the busier version of their business.

Who we are a poor fit for.

Not for
Lowest price shoppers
Also not for
Anyone wanting agreement rather than advice
We refer out
Complex multi country structuring and contentious matters

Worth saying plainly, because a mismatch discovered in month three costs both sides more than a declined enquiry.

If your only criterion is the lowest possible price, we are not it. There are providers who will file a formation for nothing and bookkeeping offshore for very little, and for some businesses that is a rational choice. We charge a middle of the market fee and the thing you are buying is that somebody senior has actually looked at your situation.

If you want an adviser who agrees with decisions already made, we are also not it. A meaningful part of what we do is say that a structure is not worth it yet, that an election would cost more than it saves, or that a plan has a problem in it. Clients who want validation find that irritating, reasonably enough.

And if your situation involves genuinely complex international structuring across several countries, or contentious tax matters under examination, you need a specialist. We will say so and we will happily work alongside one rather than pretending the boundary is somewhere else.

Common questions

Do I have to take everything?

No, and we would rather you did not. Most clients start with one thing, usually bookkeeping or the annual return, and add services when there is a reason. Nothing is bundled by default and nothing renews silently.

Can you take over from my current accountant?

Yes. We ask for the last closed year, the trial balance and access to your accounting file, and we review before we agree to anything so that we know what we are inheriting. If the books are in poor shape we will tell you what it costs to fix before we start, not after.

Do you work with businesses you did not form?

About half our accounting clients came to us with an existing entity, often one formed elsewhere and then neglected. Catch up work is ordinary for us.

Which software do you use?

We work in whatever you already use, most commonly QuickBooks Online or Xero. If you are starting from nothing we will set one up and you will own the subscription, not us. Your accounting file belongs to you and leaves with you if you go.

Not sure what you need yet?

Describe the business in a sentence or two and we will tell you which of these actually apply.
